Lake Inle is not far from the geographical centre of Myanmar. Even though it was technically their winter, the more southern cities (Yangon, even Naypyidaw) were averaging at 32°C, while Inle was much more comfortable at approx 23°C. The best part was the lack of humidity.
I was sick for two days while in Inle, which meant I got to see very little, but the feature was definitely being on the lake itself, with our ‘captain’ shuttling us around to different sites on the mammoth lake. It was pretty amazing.
Next stop… Naypyidaw.
